Trained therapists can treat common orthopedic dysfunctions, help with pain, and make it easier to move. Whether you have an aching knee, a stiff shoulder, or a low- back injury, therapy can improve your quality of life and help you get back to your normal daily activities. Treatment starts with a full evaluation by a licensed therapist. All follow-up care focuses on the goals and overall wellness the therapist sets with you. Research shows that patients who receive therapy do not need to see their doctor as often, and patients may no longer need surgery. It can also cut down on using prescription drugs or needing advanced imaging, such as a CT scan and MRI. Talk to your provider about outpatient rehabilitation services.
