Healthcare providers are doing everything they can to take care of all patients. Yet, every day they are seeing illness and death as a direct result of COVID-19 that can be prevented. COVID-19 has strained the entire healthcare system. With COVID-19 variants like Delta and now Omicron, many patients need to go to the hospital. Also, other patients are having serious health conditions due to delays in care caused by the pandemic. Emergency departments are overfilled. Nursing homes and skilled nursing facilities are also full. Emergency transports are extremely busy as well, which makes it hard to quickly move patients out of the hospital. When our patients need us, it is our duty and honor to give care. Right now, care in our hospitals is safe, but COVID-19 is threatening our ability to give timely care. Take actions to help There are ways you can help. We ask that you: ● Get vaccinated and get your booster when eligible. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, vaccines are the best public health measure to protect people from COVID-19. Help us fight COVID-19 ● Get your children vaccinated when they are eligible. ● If you feel sick or have been exposed to COVID-19, quarantine and get tested as soon as you can. ● If you test positive for COVID-19, stay at home and away from others. Ask your provider whether antibody treatments might be right for you. ● Help your loved ones make good choices. We want to thank you for your help.
