10 Protecting your privacy Protecting your privacy is important to us. Presbyterian only uses your information to better your health. We use your information to: ● ● Provide you with services ● ● Pay claims on your behalf ● ● Comply with certain laws or rules We may share your information with those who act on our behalf. Everything else needs your written consent. Keeping information safe Presbyterian has rules to protect all forms of your information. Our staff is trained to keep it safe and private. We may collect some information on our website. But we don’t sell, trade, or rent it to anyone else. Patient andmember rights The federal privacy rules were recently updated. The current Joint Notice of Privacy Practices has more details about your privacy rights under the revised rule. The notice includes your right to access your own health information. For a list of events, visit www.phs.org and click on “Events.” Upcoming event dates include these screenings for those who have diabetes: A1C test, retinal eye exam, and urine protein test. All dates include a breast cancer screening for women who are due for a mammogram.
